diamonds in patterns

Whenever I make a pattern with diamonds it seems like the top half of the diamond is always flatter. Does anyone know how to fix this or is that just a thing that happens?

this seems like a knot tightness consistency thing. maybe knotting the top of the diamond, your knots are tighter and smaller, then the bottom half is a little looser so it looked asymmetrical. i would try to keep your knot tightness as consistent as possible! this kind of just takes practice and repetition!

It happens to me sometimes and I solve it by crushing it hard with something like a lighter in that part. It usually happens to me with the parts that are knots to the left and that happens because I am more familiar with the knot to the right and not to the left because I start with the candy stripe and not with a chevron bracelet😔
