I've been making bracelets for over a year now. I feel like I've learned all there is to learn, so I'm starting to get a bit bored. Do you know of any techniques or new things to try for advanced knotters?

Have you tried doing an alpha pattern in the macrame style? It looks interesting. Instead of forming defined knots, the patterns is created on what looks like the backside of a knotted bracelet. If you haven't done it yet, you can scroll through the tutorial section for inspiration, maybe you'll find something interesting for you there that you haven't tried yet. Also, you can try out a whole different type of string art, like cross-stitch or crochet tapestry. I also see people on BraceletBook using the patterns to make seed bead bracelets, perler bead patterns, diamond paintings |

@itarosky thank you for all the ideas. I actually already want to learn seed bead, but I don't have the materials.

What about starting to dye your own thread? It's soooo much fun! And there are patterns that look really great with it!

You asked for ideas, this was mine. Of course, you don't have to like it. 😉

I agree that trying to do something 3-D looks super interesting, as well as bigger projects. I saw someone once who knotted a necktie. I would not have the patience but it was really cool.

I really wish there was. I can't find it but it was on a pattern similar to #24520. there was a photo and a description of how the person made it. It would be nice to find it again.

you could try making patches!! I saw a patches tutorial on the tutorials section of the site, which you can then sew onto clothes, bags, hats, etc...!!!
