left is perfect but the right is sloppy

I'm working on a keychain rn and the left side is perfectly straight but the right side is turning out so sloppy and starting to turn the keychain wider as it goes down. Any tips to prevent this or any ideas on why its happening? I'm keeping the knot tightness the same but not sure why

maybe one side your not as practiced with like you cant do backwards knots as well if the right side I'd sloppy you could practice backwards knots.Do you do normals?if so you might have practiced forward knots more on candy stripes.really juse practice also you can pull and push the edges until they look better hope this was helpful ❤️
