How to start alphas straight

I usually am able to get an alpha bracelet someone straight after a few rows, but how do I start it straight from row 1?

You could make a triangle start, this helps make alpha's straighter. If you don't, then you could use something with a straight edge (like a ruler) and place that over your strings and start row 1against the ruler. That should help keep them straight until you are confident enough to knot without the ruler. ๐

You could do a triangle end. But I like to leave enough room for my ties then tape it down. You just make your knot right up to the tape. That makes every row very straight. Hope this helps! ๐

I usually do a knot at the beginning and then clip in down a bit further down. If the clip has a strong holding it would be ok.๐
