Hi ! I realized while watching videos that people have very different ways to make knots and i'm curious, so i wondered, which hand do you use ? I use my right hand to make f knots and my left for b knots. And i hold the other string with the opposite hand. And for fb and bf, i actually switch hands between the 2 parts of the knot. Since i'm super-dupper curious and i like stats i made a form if you feel like filling it out 🙈 https://forms.gle/KjYkgrW2Nxw4CT579 |

I’ve noticed a lot of people switching, but I personally don’t! I use my left hand to hold the string and then my right to make the knot. It’s a bit different when I make backward knots though, I still use my left hand to hold the string but use my right THUMB to make the “4” shape. My hands mostly stay the same when make both f and b knots though.

ohh yeah it makes sense that you have to use a different finger. No matter the knot, i put my index finger between the 4 and hook the string with it

i use my right hand to tie the knots and my left hand to hold the string being tied on no matter the knot. i’ve tried switching hands before, but it just doesn’t work as well for me.

I always knot with my right and hold tension on the base strings and the "4" with my left. When I make a forward knot, my left thumb makes the 4; when I knot backwards, my left index finger makes the 4.

I filled out your stats,I use my left hand to separate the strings and make it easier to tie 👍

Right hand for forward and left for backward. Also right hand for both fine, but I don't like the result as much.

I make a lot of alphas so I usually swap hands depending on what direction I'm going. just makes it faster, and makes my shoulders less sore after doing it for a long time too
