I was wondering if anyone knows any good tutorials for patterns with holes in? i really want to make stuff like 161359 but i dont have any experience with these types of patterns

It’s just a chain. If you’re not sure how to make a chain, I recommend starting with the daisy chain (#76616) and then moving on to more advanced patterns.

i know how to do the chain, it's more how to deal with the extra threads that i'm struggling with a bit

for that strawberry pattern, you would have two groups of threads, one of each color. so two groups of one red, pink, green, and yellow. yellow is your leading string so you would make your fb and bf knots over the rest of them for both groups and then take all of your thread to make the strawberry just like you would for any normal pattern. when the strawberry is done you would make your two groups of threads and start the bf and bf knots again. @ponotama has lots of tutorials for chain bracelets. maybe take a look at their video on #161045 and a few more to see the process. instead of the knots for the tree it would be the knots for the strawberry. |
