I've recently started making alpha bracelets but I'm noticing that my knots will slant in whatever direction the knots are going so my images look zigzag is there any way to fix this and straighten out the knots?

It's completely normal that knots slant in alphas.
You can experiment with how tight you tie them and at which angle you pull the leading string while tying.

I have the same problem. I’m newbie in this technique so I thought something was getting wrong. I actually see all the alpha bracelets on internet with straight knots. 😭 😭

I have never seen alphas with straight knots. Why? Because the base string is straight, so the knot lays itself over it - from left to right or the other way round.
In normal patterns you have straight knots, because there is no base string and the strings you knot togehter will then go into a diagonal direction.

@emp217 so in other words normal patterns are straight and alphas are fruity 🔥

Yes 😉
Only the rows in alphas are straight, not the knots.
