you have to fb and bf knot it, not just f and b. this way, the ridge will all stay together.

I always wondered why I have to make fb or bf knots with the loop and not only f or b. I make it right, but I still don't get it.The same with the triangle start. For the strings to go to the left I could use only f knots. Why do I have to make bf knots? Wouldn't it be just the same? |

@emp217 For loops, there are many different types, and you don’t HAVE to make them using bf or fb knots, you can make them using only f or b knots but it will come out looking like the Chinese ladder bracelet (although there are bracelets that exist with the Chinese ladder loop). For triangle starts/ends, you don’t need to use bf or fb knots, you can make them using only f and b knots, that’s the way I do them, and many other people too. I’ve never had an issue with it! Hope this will help!!

Ah, so if I use only f or b knots in the loop, they won't be in a nice order, but to bring out the strings (because it's one by one) it doesn't matter. For the loop I never tried to use only f or b knots (I thought, when the pro people say fb/bf, then do it 😉 ), but to bring out the strings I decide it depending on where the string lies (right or left of the bunch). Chinese ladder...thanks for this tip! |
