I've made some alpha keychains and was wondering how to cover the back with fabric ,I have seen this reccomended alot but have never seen a tutorial or explanation.Do I sew it,glue it? If so what glue works on alphas? (Also I know about the clean back alpha method but that's to advanced for me right now lol, plus adding patterned fabric sounds fun) thx :] |

I’m not sure, but I know @karalee98 uses this method, so you could ask her

Hello so yes. I’ve added felt on the backs of my keychains. At first I was using a fabric glue all over the entire backs and then stitching around as well to double secure them. But the glue was making it too stiff and I didn’t like that. So now I just glue down the strings as I snip them down as small as I think they can go without coming undone. And then I take a sheet of felt fabric and I lay my keychain down and measure about how much I need. I then just cut and stitch around the entire keychain. I would totally do a tutorial if you were interested. It just makes it look nicer in my opinion. As well as the quality of the finished pieces it makes it a lot more sturdier in my opinion. It may be some extra work on our end but I think it’s work it. Also when I sew around them I’m using a larger embroidery needle that came with the floss I got off of Amazon. And then I use the matching color of my background floss to stitch around so it blends in. And I’ve only ever used a black or white felt so far but I may use other colors later on if I can get some.
