Loop with uneven colors??

Hey y’all, I’m trying to do pattern #123691 or #168044 and I want to do a loop. I see the pictures posted of the patterns have a loop, but I’m not sure how to do it since the colors are uneven and aren’t symmetrical. Ive watched a couple of YouTube tutorials but can’t seem to understand. Thank you!

First, you just need to split the pattern in half. Put half the colors on one side and the other half on the other side. If you have any string that is folded upon itself, find a string on the other half that’s folded upon itself and loop it through like a chain. (Basically you’re just folding one string in half, feeding one end of the other string in between the two halves of string #1 and folding string #2 back upon itself.) Then you can start your loop with a color that’s on both sides.
