How long do the strings for this pattern have to be so that you can wear it as a bracelet?

I usually cut my strings to be around two yards long and then I fold them in half but if the person you are making the bracelet for has a small wrist than you can do less than that. For this particular pattern I just tied a knot at the top but if you are doing a teardrop loop be sure too cut one of your strands a couple of inches longer that the other ones so afterward your strings are the same length. Hope this helps!
