Difficult bracelets

Hi guys, which are in your opinion really difficult (normal) patterns to make? Once I thought the starburst with 34 is difficult, but actually it's not, it's only a lot of work. For me #59965 was quite difficult because you really have to take care of fb/bf and recognize that you did wrong many rows after. I have made bracelets with a lot more strings that seemed to me like "omg how can you do this" and they were quite easy. But this one killed my nerves. 😂 It was one of my first ones and I did not even understand that a fb/bf knot just does not change the string order. There are patterns that are fun to make, others that are really boring to make (but look good as a bracelet) and so on. But what is for you difficult? |

Usually it's how fast I get bored 😂 I can't do 1212s bc the result isn't satisfying and difficulty isn't a problem for me, but if I'm working on a 36 stringer or smth, it looks like ai'm making no progress and I get bored real fast

I think, if you segment-knot, some patterns can get quite complicated, but if you knot row-by-row, there's literally no difference because you just follow the knots one by one and you don't need to consider anything else.

I never make the knots in a horizontal row. There is just no logical connection or path of the strings, so I think this is a lot more complicated than do segment knotting. At least in chevrons to avoid wavy bracelets (as you told me 😉)

Are you asking for certain kinds of normals @emp217? 🙂 Or like specific pattern numbers that people have found to be difficult to tie? (Or both?) 🙂Just wondering! 😄 |

1212#157612 #149057 Shaped #167707 #163632 #168149 #166783 #152950 #110674 macrame/don't follow pattern literally #120807 #153490 #162558 #156362 #167205 #163463 #145279 #143257 #145805 #88731 #110416 Overall, shaped, macrame, hole(s), gap(s), space(s), chain(s), and 1212 are good keywords to find patterns that aren't understandable without tutorials. @ponotama has lots of cool shaped patterns and @goldflower has a bunch of macrame if that interests you. |

(regarding my previous comment those are not the only 1212s and macramés on the site, just examples of what I mean

Anything above 39 strings I'd say, I don't really find any patterns hard but I find bigger bracelets very time consuming and they are depending on the pattern

Unless there is a video on a pattern that explains how to make it, most macrame patterns can be made by exactly following the pattern, just like a normal pattern. If you're interested in tying difficult patterns I would recommend finding patterns that seem only a tiny bit difficult to you and slowly work up to more difficult things, trying new things with each pattern. For example #89249 was my first shaped pattern. It seemed difficult at the time because I'd never done anything like that before. If you're just curious about what other people find difficult #105880 was hard for me because I couldn't find a good way to segment knot and it was the largest pattern I'd ever tried. #110933 was difficult but in a really fun way, I think that's my favorite pattern not designed by me. |
