While making an alpha bracelet should the base be only white or any color??

It can be any colour you like. You only see the leading strings in the ties at the beginning and end, so I recommend selecting a colour that goes along well with your design. |

I have another question in the alpha bracelet can the background thread be the embroidery thread which we normally use or does it have a specific thread

You can use the regular embroidery floss for the base strings, but you can also use other string. Personally I use crochet thread for the base strings that is about the same thickness as embroidery floss, because it is cheaper.

You are able to use any color but I would recommend white just because it is cleaner to the eye! You could also use crochet thread if you want a stronger base! Hope this helps!

You can tape the string you need to add right next to the bracelet and then start knotting with it make sure to use the strait edge technique. Or you could watch a tutorial on how to make alphas I recommend Masha Knots or Kinsey B.

@jnarzecz the pattern you mentioned is a normal pattern, not an alpha.I recommend watching MashaKnots' video on reading normal patterns. |

You can just tape it down and start knotting with it. I recommend watching some of Masha Knots’ alpha videos.
