How long should I cut my base strings if the pattern is about 30x50 knots long? Ty ❤️

Have you tied an alpha before? You can measure how long a certain amount of rows is and then use that to calculate how long any amount of rows will be. Then you just need to add some extra for loops, ties etc |

Base strings never need to be very long. You'll probably be good to cut them all abt 6 to 8 inches. I recommend cutting a 14 inch string and folding it in half w lark's head

How long they need to be also depends on what you want to do with it. If you want to make a bracelet, they should always reach around your wrist and then what you need for ties. If you make a keychain, bookmark or wallhanging, you need to pay attention to how many rows there are. |
