First post here, I am prob one of the older members but like to make bracelets.

Can segment knotting be done with most patterns ? I prefer to segment knot if there are only a rows to remember. But find some patterns confusing and unsure how to follow the pattern for segment knotting.

Suggestions on some easy patterns to follow to start with , I already can do the chevron, fishbone style patterns.

Look for patterns with long lines of colour or with like your ‘core patterns’ ie. candy stripe, chevrons and diamonds. Those are generally your best bet for segment knotting as you can carry the knotting string across long distances easily. Some patterns just aren’t easily segment knotted and are just easier to do row by row. So don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t seem possible. 🤗

Patterns that have mostly bf and fb knots aren't good for segment knotting so I'd avoid those. Patterns with lots of b and f knots that are in a row so you can knot them at once are good for segment knotting.
