Recently I’ve been having trouble with guesstimating the number of knots I should do for a loop based off the number of string. In this context I’m talking about normal bracelets but I think it goes for either.

Is there some sort of algorithm or hocus locus wizard magic I can use to discover the perfect proportions? Thanks!

I think the ideal loop-size really depends on preference 🙂 some prefer smaller loops, others prefer bigger loops
It also depends on if you do a teardrop loop or a loop and then a triangle start

So my recommendation for you is to take a bracelet in which you like the loop size and count the knots you did in the loop and count how many strings the pattern has.
If possible, do this for multiple bracelets. This way it is easier, to figure out what the ideal proportion of amount of strings and amount of knots in a loop is for you.
