somehow i always cut the strings too short and i alwyas just tye randomly to try to make it longer but idk how it’ll hold in the future so like what do u do when it happens

I usually cut each string at about 40 inches/1 meter for normal bracelets, double that if I'm making a loop. I will add a little more length if the colour is used for a lot of knots in the pattern, or alternatively cut it a little shorter if the colour isn't used a lot in the pattern. If you do find that your strings are too short after you've already started the pattern, you can also reinsert a new string.
