Hi!I was wondering if anybody knows how to make the flip flop pattern, but on a keychain so it’s an alpha bracelet. I know how to do it for a normal bracelet but I can’t figure out how to do it as an alpha, with straight edges too. I’ve seen a lot of them on Pinterest but I can’t find a tutorial on how to make it. If you know how to make it, please let me know. Thanks!! |

I don't think I've ever seen a flip flop bracelet as an alpha before, maybe you could link to one of the Pinterest images you found? You could make the normal one on a keychain but that wouldn't have straight edges

What exactly do you not understand? You should be able to do this the same way you make any other alpha keychain, but you just flip the keychain for each row you do 🙂 Do you want to do something like this? https://www.pinterest.de/pin/429390145734643910/ |

Hi, a similar one that I would like to make is something like this: https://pin.it/2S9Sre7I think I’ve figured it out but I don’t know how to make the straight edges like the photo. Would I do the straight edges knot and then flip it, or first flip it and do the straight edges. Sorry if this is confusing to understand! 😅 Thanks! |

You would need to do the straight edges knot at the beginning and end of each row. So you do one fb or bf knot, then you flip it and do one bf or fb knot to start the next row. It's a common mistake that people are only doing one fb or bf knot instead of two. If you do only one, you are missing knots at the edges. Look at the second image in my tutorial to understand the structure of an alpha pattern with straight edges https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/101_the-straight-edges-technique/ |
