I’ve watched many YouTube bodes about alpha patterns and I still can’t figure something out. How do you all tuck in, hide, or cut the stings short enough on the front when you’re done. What I mean is the colors I taped down and added in, that at the end they stick out of the front. I’ve only made one alpha so what I did was just get tiny scissors and cut them. I did also attempt to use a needle and shove those loose threads to the back, but it was too thick to shove through lmao.I just kind figure there must be a better way or technique I’m just not finding online. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What I do is I put the extra strings on the back and seal it with nail polish so knots don’t come undone. It probably wouldn’t feel the best on bracelets because I only make keycHin

After you tap down a new leading string, you put this string under the alpha you're knotting and you get it out between the base string where you did your last knot with the previous leading string and the base string on which you'll do the first knot with the new leanding string. And then you do the first knot with this new leading string. To get out the previous leading string, you do the first part of the first knot with the new leading string, put the previous one on top of the first part of the knot and finished your knot with the new string. Once this first knot is finished, you can pass the previous sting between the base string of the finished knot and the base string of the next knot, so that the previous string stays under/behind the alpha until you need it or not. This way, the leading string is always in the back of the alpha when you're finished knotting. You just will need to cut the stings, in the back of the alpha, when you're finished. You can cut them very short. Normally, you don't need to put anything on it. It stays that way. I hope those indications are clear enough to help you! 😉 |
