Hi, I'm a little confused about what to do with the string on the back of the bracelet. I think you weave it in but I also noticed when I made my first bracelet that by doing so The bracelet sort of bulged up and made the edges less straight, even after using the straight edge and flat alpha bracelet techniques. I watched a video that talked briefly about cutting the string the goes back and forth often on the bracelet and turning it into 2 strings of the same color but I was just wondering what I do then? Also on a side note, I made a single triangle end and didn't really know what to do with the string left at the end so I just weaved it into the back. However, it didnt turn out as well as I had hoped and am curious if there are any alternatives or better options im just not aware of? Thanks! Sorry if my explanation is too complicated and round-about but I hope you get the gist and I can clarify if needed! ❤️ |

You can either do nothing with the strings or, if you want the bracelet to be flatter, you just cut the strings. You don't need to weave them in. Some people use clue on the strings to secure them, but that really isn't necessary, especially when using the flat alpha technique.

I also just cut them, or put a bit of white glue or clear nail polish when it's on the edge and less secured. When i start mine and it's an uneven number, I join the "tail" with my first base string for the first few rows and then cut it, if that makes sense ! (So basically i knot over with my leading string over the base string + the excess string)
