Whenever I make alphas the rows with more color switches always bulge out in the middle and get messy. I use the techniques that MashaKnots suggests but they are still messy

a couple things: make sure to pull the old color behind tightly. pull each knot at the same tightness. one knot is actually two knots yk, so make sure you aren’t doing too many knots. do one half of the knot then pull the old color through and do the other half of the knot. if you are using string from different brands the thickness could be slightly thicker than the other.
