how do you tighten your knots?

Okay so I’ve been making bracelets since I was like six but I always get blisters on my fingers after making bracelets because when I tighten each knot, I wrap the string around my finger and pull it. I know this isn’t right because I always end up hurting my fingers. So how do you guys pull your strings when your tightening your knots? (Sorry if this doesn’t make sense but idk how to describe it 😭)

You don't need to pull that hard on the strings. I just hold the strings between pointer finger and thumb when I pull them tight. Sometimes, if I knot a lot, it will also injure my skin, but only if I really knot a lot. You could also put band aids or tape onto your fingers to protect them 🙂
