Making a loop start for bracelets with only one of a color

Hi I was just wondering how to make a loop start if the pattern only has one of each color instead of two like when you fold the strings in half to create a loop. Any tips or advice are welcome and thanks a bunch to everyone out there who helps troubleshoot this small issue of mine. If you need a more detailed idea of what im battling with you can go look at the pattern #86000 which is the pattern I got stuck on and decided to ask this question for, Thanks a bunch!
