So, I’ll start off by saying that I am primarily an alpha gal. I do love normals, but I’m just not as good at them and find myself getting frustrated when they don’t turn out as perfectly as I want them to haha. Still, I am making a concerted effort to keep practicing and improve and one of the things I have found that I struggle with the most is getting my FB and BF knots to tie well. I tend to end up with little gaps when I have a lot of these knots in a pattern.

It’s not necessarily super evident just looking at it, but when I hold it up to any light source I can see the little holes/gaps around those knots and it annoys me to no end. I am generally a pretty tight knotter so I don’t *think* that’s the issue, but I will take any tips and tricks with these knots to avoid those little holes! Please help lol!

I think in bf and fb knots, the first half is more likely to loosen up before tying the second half than it is in f and b knots. Due to the change of direction, you can't hold the tension as well. This is not really advice how to fix this, but I hope it helps you to figure it out.
