Segment knotting ribbons - bracelet zigzagging?

Hello! I have been working on knotting pattern #86824, which has a rainbow "ribbon" running from left to right and back again.So, it's all forward knots for a bit and then all backwards knots for a bit. I initially started segment knotting it and noticed the edges of the bracelet started to wave back and forth in a zigzag. It's kind of a neat effect, but how can I keep it square? I'm trying just doing row by row now and it seems straighter, just not as fun! |

Don't pull the bracelet to the right or left while knotting, but straight down.Secure the bracelet so it can't move around a lot. Secure it close to where you are knotting, so that you are not putting stress on the complete bracelet all the time. |
