Elongated alphas?

My alphas look really stretched out… like they’re way more long than wide. Also, with the flat alpha technique, my colors show through way too much, even when I knot looser. How can I fix these problems?

You can try doubling up your base strings or using thicker base strings, making your knots a little looser and pushing the rows up with a ruler after each row knotted.

@kikisbands I recommend a calculation based on time spent making the bracelet (how much you'd get payed, if you worked for minimum wage) and the cost of the material used.
