Hi! I’m new to bracelet making but work a lot with macrame.I’m currently working on a big project for a company making friendship brackets and struggling to get the Chinese ladder spiral to flow connectively. Any tips would be great! |

Hi! When you knot, try to go with the spiral and kinda flip the bracelet. I recommend watching this video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSmGMCpKJwY at the time stamp 13:50 she will show you just so you can get a clear idea. |

So this might sound silly but just let the string do what it wants. For example if your string somehow ends up on the wrong side just keep it there and just tie knots there it will eventually turn out on the right side

for chinese staircase, the bumpy part of the bracelet moves in an even spiral around the bracelet only if you are tying your knots with the same amount of tension and you let the knots naturally curve and don’t try to force them to be in the middle of the bracelet so maybe just double check that stuff

I'm not sure I understand the problem correctly, but if you mean you can't get the spiral part of one colour to begin exactly where the spiral part of the last colour ended, then you just have to tug the string of the new colour into the position where the spiral is currently ending, before you start knotting again.Sometimes you need to move it around in there quite a bit, but it usually gets where you want it to be after a while. |
