probably been asked a million times before, but how long should my strings be for a 10 string normal? thanks in advance :3

It usually depends on what the pattern is. If there is a string that gets used the most then that should be longer than the rest. I usually go with the length from my hands to the center of my chest for most strings, but I think you can do it a little smaller since it's a ten-string alpha. But extra string never hurt anyone. Extra string is better than not enough. If you do run out of string in the middle or toward the end you can add a new string like you would in an alpha. If you give information on which pattern specifically, I could probably give you some more specific advice for each of the individual strings 🙂Usually I cut my strings in normal patterns about 95cm long (from my fingertips to the opposite shoulder) |
