You could do it like adding charms: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94TeTFBIftoAnother way you could add them is threading them onto whatever string you are knotting with, you would just have to be careful with tension. |

You make a bordered Chevron bracelet and add beads to the center strings and continue with the pattern. There is a pattern for it in one of the old Klutz friendship bracelet books.

Basically any knot could be replaced with a bead, that's how I always did it. You also have to be careful of the order in which you knot, because you don't want to put the bead on too early and block the other strings. I would look on YouTube, or even use the keyword "bead" for pictures of what it looks like 🙂
