okay this may be dumb but hear me out, so i have this problem where my knots where i switch strings are chunkier than the knots where i don't, i use the flat alpha techniques so the reason it's like this is because the switching string (is that the term for it?) is in the middle of the knot, so it can make my knots uneven and cause warping, but what if I just switch strings on every knot? it would be more work, but it could make my projects look much better, especially if it's really mostly the same color im just working with multiple strands of that color, so i don't even have to worry about the switching color peaking through. let me know if anyone has tried this or has any thoughts on it but im gonna try it and lyk

I think it would get messy and confusing really fast 😅I'd recommend experimenting with how tight you knot first. You could make the regular knots looser and the colour switch knots tighter to see, if it ends up the same size then. |
