Start and end threads alphas

With alphas, when you start a new colour, you keep part of the thread out to the side, do you cut those strings off or get a needle and thread them to the backside of the bracelet?

i just cut them off as close the back of the bracelet as i can and nothing have ever unraveled 🙂
