Hi I’ve probably asked this before but I don’t remember the answer why do some ppl use double base strings? Does it make the bracelets thicker?

Yes! It makes the knots bigger and allows the bracelet to see bigger without having to alter the pattern at all

I think the main reason is that because the knots are wider, it makes it easier to make the knots have the sane height and width. The image won't be as stretched.
