I was finishing up with a VERY complex alpha pattern bracelet that was supposed to be a Christmas present for a friend and one of the strings on either side was too short to braid and tie and in an impulse panicked moment I cut off the excess string on both sides so now my bracelet is just the pattern with some very very short stings sticking out the ends. I’m going to literally cry if I can’t fix it. Any ideas I’ll try anything!!!

Two suggestions1) put crimp ends on it 2) use it as a keychain instead I think both should work depending on what materials you have on hand/are able to get. But maybe someone else has another suggestion! |

Crimp ends are metal things that you can attach to the end of the bracelet. They have clips with which you can close the bracelet. I'd recommend googling "crimp ends".

crimp ends are probably your best option, but if you can’t get them, you could glue on new strings of the same color to the back of each side. it won’t look as nice as crimp ends, but it should work if you don’t have access to those. you can easily find crimp ends on Amazon.

If you can’t get crimp ends in time or don’t like them, you could also try making it a keychain and finish the ends with nail polish. If it’s too long for a keychain you could sew a piece of fabric over the back and attach a closing to that instead

Do you have the ties already made on one side? And if it is not very long on could attach a safety pin to one side and turn it into a badge. You can also make it into a bookmark by just nail polishing or gluing the ends and if you had ties on one end that good be the tassel sticking out from the top! Hope this helps! 🙂 |
