How to Straighten Knot Tying on Alpha

I've been doing alpha patterns for a while now and I notice that my forward knots tend to slant on the left, and my backward knots slants on the right. This causes the knots to be a bit unaligned from the original pattern. Is there a way or a technique to straighten each knots?

Ya, this happens to me all the time. I’ve tried to move my hands around and do other things to fix it, but the only thing that works for me is just straighting the rows up afterwards. I just grab a ruler, or at the dollar store, you can find a scraper tool in the craft section, and using that to push my knots up. It straightens the entire thing and makes it look pretty good!
