Not sure how to help with that pattern, but there is the straight edge technique. I believe Masha Knots has a tutorial for this technique. Also, for future patterns, try searching for straighedge in the keywords to find patterns using this technique!

No, it works for normal patterns too. I've written a tutorial on it, if you want to check it out, but for example MashaKnots also has a video on it.

I’ve never seen a normal pattern be crooked. Maybe it is the way that you are tying your bracelets)

i recommend knitting super close to where the bracelet is secured as well, like if you’re using a clipboard keep moving the bracelet up or if you’re using tape keep taping the bracelet down as you knot. it means you’re not pulling to one side as much! also if your knots are super tight i find my bracelets bend more and aren’t as straight, so if you are tying super tight knots loosening your tension a tiny bit could help as well x 💕♥️
