I’m making my first alpha bracelet, and it’s going well because I’ve been making bracelets for a while. However, the pattern of my bracelet looks stretched out—kinda taller that it’s supposed to be. I’m making a galaxy pattern but the planets look more like ovals than circles because of this. Any tips? Thank you!

as you knot you can push up the row of knots with a ruler or your finger. usually this helps

making tighter knots and making sure you knot at the right angle will also make a difference! i think alphas have a tendency to be stretched downwards, but since it's your first alpha, there's always room to learn 🙂

i have a fair amount of expereince making alphas and while it is true that patterns do naturally become stretched, as i have improved my technique i have found that it happens to a much lesser degree 🙂 if you need to create perfect shapes (squares, circles) i can recommend skipping rows and adjusting patterns to counter-act it
