rows with no knots

I have been trying out new normal patterns like ones that have “holes” or strings without knots. I can’t figure out this one though….. an entire row with no knots. Am i just supposed to keep a space between the knots? I feel like it would be hard to keep it all tight and even if i did that so i just skipped the row and went to the next but am still wondering if i should have done something different.
