Does anyone know a good type of thread to use? The ones I have are cheap ones that are really thin, and snap easily, so I have to fold the strings in half to make it thicker. Any thread that is most used or really good?

typically six-strand embroider floss is the perfect thickness regardless of brand. it's the type of thread majority of people use

6 strand embroidery thread is also what i use, i also like the brand DMC. I tried cheaper brands like from walmart but i also found they snap easy. I would also suggest to loosen your knots if you have this problem, it might help if you still want to use up the thread you already have

The brand I have is from Walmart, and my knots are as loose as they can possibly be. Thanks for the rec of dmc. It seems pretty good.

i mostly use DMC! but they are very expensive. i also buy them on amazon! you can search: embroider floss threads and there you should find a pack from 200 colors for 12$! i also use the amy threads in a store here! hope it helps! (:

i also buy from either amazon, ebay or aliexpress! and even though they’re super cheap they’re so much better than the ones i got from dollars and sense! (which i think is the australian version of like walmart or a dollar store as i understand it, like really cheap stuff) i’ve only ever got one bad batch from aliexpress and even then they were still usable, the only time i’ve ever had problems is with the dollar store thread 🙂 but yeh i just get the giant 100-200 colour packs and they’re great, especially if you can’t afford to buy dmc or craft store thread at the moment. it will always be better and eventually i’d love to use dmc, but it gets very expensive when you make a lot of bracelets 😅
