Hi! So I've been dealing with this problem for a while now and I just don't know how to fix it. For some reason my wallhangings sometimes turn out sort of lopsided? I tried using a ruler to push the rows up after every row but still in the end the wallhanging isn' straight and one side is sort of longer than the other. Has anyone any idea how I can fix this or prevent it?

when you knot the first row push all your strings up with a ruler and make sure you knot is a straight line so it's not crooked. it takes practice but its worth it!

Hi! I've had this problem before too. The thing with the ruler trick is that you should use it as needed. If a row is already straight don't push the knots up more. You can also use the ruler in the opposite way and push knots down slightly. Using your fingernail may be easier for this though. You should only move to the next row if you are pleased with the current row's straightness. Hope this helps!-Macrame Maven |
