That's how I usually do it if I'm making an alpha for myself and it doesn't need to look perfect. However, if you want it to look better, the triangle start looks a lot neater.

Teardrop loop usually refers to a loop that goes into double triangle ends, so no, technically it would not be possible.But if you don't do a teardrop loop and just do a loop instead, it should work. I don't really know how to describe it, but I would start as if I was trying to do triangle ends with the normal bracelet technique, but you just do the edges. Instead of filling the triangle ends in, you continue knotting in straight rows immediately. |

i’ve actually thinking about trying to see if i can do a teardrop loop on an alpha like the way they are on normals. i’ll lyk if it works

What I do is make the tube-y part of the loop, then basically make a triangle start at each end. Once they've widened completely, you can bring the two ends side-by-side and start working across all the strings as you normally do.
