I would recommend printing the pattern or taking a screenshot and then drawing the segments into it. This way it's easier to not loose orientation.

when doing that would you leave out the bf/fb knots when drawing the segments

I have written a tutorial on segment knotting. I though you already knew how to, that's why I did not put a link to it previously. https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/97_how-to-segment-knot/ You don't leave the fb and bf knots out when drawing the segments. You make them the first or the last knot of a segment. |
