Hiya guys, im wondering if someone can help me i have been following marsha knots tutorial for this gorgeous bracelet. Our tutorial are great and i don't usually have a problem. However with this one i seem to have strings in the wrong place and i cant work out how as the pattern looks correct. So once you do both side of the first little rays you should end up with 2 strings in the middle to carry out a chevron however i have 4 strings in the middle . I cant work it out. Pattern is correct. Taken it back multiple times. Can anyone shed some light im going loopy trying to figure it out. 🙁

So your issue is that you have 4 black strings in the middle instead of 2 and now you can't do the upside down chevron after the first rays?Here are some questions that might help figure out the issue: - Are you using the correct amount of black strings in the pattern? There should be 12 black strings. (or white strings, if you follow the tutorial). (I think this is the most likely issue or that you somehow put the strings in the wrong order in the very beginning when making the triangle starts.) - Have you made all the knots of the rays? There should be 3 pink, 2 orange, 1 yellow, 1 green, 2 turquoise, 3 blue. |

Yes, i have the correct string amount. And yes your understanding is correct, I have 4 strings instead of 2 before making the chevron

Are you sure you have the strings in the beginning in the correct order?If that is the issue, I would recommend making the beginning rays one knot longer and then continue following the tutorial from there. I think it should work out then. Could you maybe set a picture of the bracelet as your profile picture, so I can potentially see where the error is? |

thanks for your quick reply again - I have changed my profile pic but not sure its a clear enough picture really. I think I have resigned myself to starting again.

Two of your black strings are placed incorrectly. There should be one black string between the yellow and the green string on each side. This means, you either have to undo the complete bracelet or you could try to come up with a new pattern from what you have got.

You also seem to have 7 of the rainbow colours, not just 6 like in the pattern

thank you for your reply - I would love to be able to save this one yes - I will attempt to restart this one again as well, but would be lovely to be able to do something with this one as not to waste the thread 🙂 thank you so much for all your help

This is the pattern I came up with #129142Basically what you do is making all the rays you have already knotted one knot longer, then you can do the chevron like in the video. |
