How do you get rid of the loose ends once finished with an alpha?

How does everyone get rid of the loose ends of the thread once they’re done with an alpha pattern? I’m curious to try different methods.

I just cut them. In the beginning I used to tie the ends together so that they would not come undone. Some people use glue to glue the ends down for the same reason. But I think both really isn't necessary. They won't come undone.

I tend to cut mine, sometimes i will get a needle and follow the line of where the thread is going and thread it through before cutting.
