use backward forward knots and forward backward knots on the edges of your bracelet! kinsey bracelet’s tutorial taught me but there is also one on braceletbook

Some bracelets already included the straight edges technique in the pattern like #31368. You add two strings to the sides and on the left string make backward forward knots and on the right string forward backwards. The strings on the sides basically stay at the same place in the entire bracelet.
