I just started my first pattern bracelet. I messed it up by not knowing you need to leave out the strings on the side when it shows. It looks horrible with holes. How can i continue it? Should i just lay the threads as the pattern started and redo the start on the same bracelet? I don’t wanna cut the mess off. Will that work? Help please.

When you're just starting out it's normal to make mistakes so don't worry too much about it! My first few bracelets definetely have plenty of mistakes and messes in them. You have a few options as for what you can do- 1) Laying out the strings in the correct order and then continuing to knot the bracelet like you said about doing. This should allow you to continue the bracelet. 2) Trying to undo what you gave done so far using a safety pin or your nails. I wouldn't recommend this as it can be very long and frustrating to untie a bracelet. 3) You could just cut new strings and start a new bracelet if you really don't want to deal with what you have done so far. Also I would advise against cutting it off as you won't have enough string to continue the bracelet. |

I like to use the eye end of a large cross-stitch needle to help untie knots. It’s blunt enough but smooth so it gets easy to untie the knots without tearing at the threads
