what technique is recommended for securing the remaining string at the back of alpha patterns?i struggle especially with color changes on the edges as cutting those loose strings means that they will always stick out 🙁 |

I cut the loose strings and I never feel as if they are rubbing against my skin, you can cut them as short as possible and they shouldn’t undo. Otherwise you could try the clean alpha back technique or use felt or leather on the back.

I would also recommend using the straight edge technique so that when you do color changes on the edge, if you cut the thread, it will be at the back and not stick out to the side

When I know that I'm going to have string sticking out of the edge of an alpha bracelet, then I just take that string after I've finished using it, and pair it up with a base string that is closer to the middle. Then I knot over both strings. After about 2 rows, I then cut it off. This way it is closer to the middle of the bracelet. I also use a similar technique when replacing a string in a normal bracelet. I hope that this makes sense.
