Do you print your patterns or look at them on a computer (or other device)? For printed patterns I would recommend using pencil to make a dash by each row after you have completed it (it can also be easily erased if you want to do the pattern again) For a computer or digital pattern, what I do is I scroll so that after I complete each row I just scroll up a little bit so that all I can see is the next row to work on and all of the rows that follow. This way I know that the row that is at the top is the row I am currently working on or will work on next For digital patterns you can also take a screenshot and mark it up the same way you would for the printed ones |

A lot of times I have my pattern opened in photoshop, and especially for my starts (like a teardrop start) I will have diagonal lines on what I have knotted…

i used to tally my rows on a piece of paper, but i recently started to just memorize the row i’m on and because i easily forget i also just learn to look at where i’m at in the bracelet and i find that helpful for my memory!

over the years i have learned how to look at my bracelet and find where i am. but before i could do that i used a counter app! i would have my pattern on my laptop and have a counter app on my phone, so you tap the screen and the number goes up. i’d just tap the screen at the end of each row so it showed what row i was on, then restart the counter once i finish 🙂

When I knot in one sitting I scroll up on the page so that the row I'm working on is on the bottom of my screen, when I take a brake I note on which row I am in my notes app on my phone.
