Help! My bracelet folds up when I’m making alphas !

Ok idk how to explain this but I’ll try I’m working on an alpha with a black border but once I cat the the edge and the the knots for the boarder it like folds up ? How do I avoid this? This also isn’t the first time it’s happened.

I would recommend loosening up your knots on the edge. Since you are pulling the black string from one side to the other (without it being incorporated into the main design) if you knot tightly with the black it will pull the sides together, just be a little bit more careful with these knots and it shouldn't pull as much.

There are two things that you should pay attention to:- when using the straight edges technique, always make sure to do two bf or fb knots, not just one - don't pull the loose leading strings too tight in the back. You could also use two separate leading strings for the edges, one for the right, one for the left |
