How much string have you left at the top? Maybe you could do very short ties.What you could definitely do is crimp ends. |

I was about to suggest crimp ends as well, they are pretty much the only solution if you barely have any thread at the ends

i have barely any string maybe like half an inch at the top and crimp ends are a great idea however not sure if i have some, thank you for the help!

Lol having the same problem. I like to braid the ends so I might make a separate braid and try to tie it onto my short ends

This sounds really silly but the one time I didn’t leave enough string on my starting end, I split the strings in half and then formed them into a loop, which I then superglued into shape. I made two braids on the other end to pass through the loop. The loop is rock solid and a little messy looking but it works haha
