hey can anyone help me so I dont know how to do this straight edges technique on normal patterns I tried to watch some YouTube videos on it and I really don't understand and 😭

It is a little hard to explain, but basically you add an extra string on each side of the pattern. You then tie fb (right side) or bf (left side) knots onto the extra threads.
